Terms of Service
Last updated · June 25, 2026
These Terms of Service govern your access to and use of AuthorLens. Please read them carefully — by creating an account or using the service you agree to be bound by them.
1. Who we are
AuthorLens (the “Service”) is a web-based profit & loss analytics application for Amazon KDP authors, operated by Remskill LLC (“Remskill”, “we”, “us”, or “our”), a limited liability company registered in the State of Delaware, United States. These Terms form a binding agreement between you (“you” or the “User”) and Remskill.
2. The service
AuthorLens connects, with your authorization, to third-party accounts you control — such as Amazon Kindle Direct Publishing (KDP), Amazon Advertising, and Meta (Facebook/Instagram) Ads — to unify your earnings (royalties and KENP reads) and advertising spend into a single dashboard that reports your net profit per book, marketplace, and day. Where an integration is not yet connected or available, the affected figures are locked or shown as unavailable — we do not display sample, demonstration, or estimated numbers in place of your real data.
We grant you a limited, non-exclusive, non-transferable, revocable licence to use the Service for your own internal business purposes, subject to these Terms.
3. Accounts and eligibility
- You must be at least 18 years old and able to form a binding contract.
- You are responsible for the accuracy of the information you provide and for keeping your login credentials confidential. You are responsible for all activity under your account.
- You must notify us promptly at denys.m@remskill.com if you suspect any unauthorized use of your account.
4. Connected third-party accounts
To deliver the Service we ask only for the access we need — typically read-only access — to your connected accounts. You authorize us to access and process the data those services make available for the purpose of producing your analytics. Your use of each third-party service remains governed by that provider’s own terms, including the Amazon KDP, Amazon Advertising, and Meta platform terms. You are responsible for maintaining your own accounts in good standing, and you may disconnect any integration at any time.
5. Plans, fees and billing
- AuthorLens is offered as a single paid subscription plan, billed monthly or annually. There is no free tier and no free trial — your subscription begins when you sign up. The features and price of the plan are described on our pricing page and may change with notice.
- Paid plans are billed in advance on a recurring (monthly or annual) basis through our third-party payment processor. By subscribing you authorize us to charge the applicable fees to your chosen payment method until you cancel.
- You may cancel at any time; cancellation takes effect at the end of the current billing period and you retain access until then. Except where required by law, fees already paid are non-refundable.
- Fees are exclusive of taxes, which you are responsible for where applicable.
6. Acceptable use
You agree not to:
- use the Service in violation of any applicable law or third-party platform policy;
- access data or accounts you are not authorized to access, or connect accounts that do not belong to you without permission;
- reverse-engineer, scrape, resell, or attempt to derive the source code of the Service, except to the extent permitted by law;
- interfere with, overload, or disrupt the Service or attempt to gain unauthorized access to our systems; or
- upload malicious code or use the Service to infringe the rights of others.
7. Your data and ownership
As between you and Remskill, you retain all rights to the data you connect or upload (“Your Data”). You grant us a limited licence to host, process, and display Your Data solely to operate and improve the Service for you. We may use aggregated and de-identified data (that cannot reasonably identify you, your books, or your accounts) to operate, analyze, and improve the Service. The Service itself, including its software, design, and trademarks, remains our property.
8. Privacy
Our handling of personal data is described in our Privacy Policy, which forms part of these Terms. By using the Service you consent to that processing.
9. Service availability and changes
We work to keep the Service available and accurate, but we provide it on an “as is” and “as available” basis. The analytics, including profit and ROAS figures, are provided for informational purposes only and depend on data supplied by third-party platforms; they are not financial, tax, accounting, or investment advice, and you should not rely on them as your sole record. We may modify, suspend, or discontinue features at any time, and may update these Terms — material changes will be notified by email or in-app, and continued use after changes take effect constitutes acceptance.
10. Disclaimers and limitation of liability
To the fullest extent permitted by law, Remskill disclaims all warranties, express or implied, including merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, and non-infringement, and does not warrant that the Service will be uninterrupted, error-free, or that the figures it reports are complete or accurate. To the fullest extent permitted by law, Remskill’s total aggregate liability arising out of or relating to the Service will not exceed the greater of (a) the amounts you paid to us for the Service in the twelve months before the claim, or (b) USD 100. We will not be liable for indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, or for lost profits, revenue, or data.
11. Indemnity
You agree to indemnify and hold Remskill harmless from any claims, damages, and expenses (including reasonable legal fees) arising from your misuse of the Service, your violation of these Terms, or your violation of any law or third-party right.
12. Termination
You may stop using the Service and delete your account at any time. We may suspend or terminate your access if you breach these Terms or if required to protect the Service or other users. On termination, your licence to use the Service ends; provisions that by their nature should survive (e.g. ownership, disclaimers, limitation of liability) will survive.
13. Governing law
These Terms are governed by the laws of the State of Delaware, United States, without regard to its conflict-of-laws rules. The courts located in Delaware will have exclusive jurisdiction, except that either party may seek injunctive relief in any court of competent jurisdiction.
