- What are research credits, and will I run out?
- Credits cover competitor and market research — looking up rival books, categories, author pages and market history. Pro includes 100 a month, enough for everyday competitor checks, and looking at the same thing twice is free. Your dashboard, royalties and ad spend never use credits and keep working even if you run out. If you need more, top-up packs are one-off and never expire.
- Is the AI included, or do I need my own account?
- The Ad Coach runs on your own OpenAI key, which you add in Settings — so you’re never billed twice for the same tokens, and you choose the model.
- Is there a free trial or a free plan?
- No — AuthorLens is a paid subscription from the start, with no free tier. You can cancel any time from your billing settings and keep access until the end of the period you’ve paid for.
- Can I cancel anytime?
- Yes — cancel whenever you like from the Stripe billing portal. You keep full access until the end of the period you’ve paid for.
- Which ad platforms do you support?
- Amazon Advertising is live today, attributed back to your books — including full Amazon Attribution (sponsored-product clicks, orders and ACOS). Meta (Facebook/Instagram) ad-spend support is coming soon.
- Do you store my KDP password?
- Never. Royalties come in through the read-only KDP Sync extension, which uses your own logged-in KDP session — cookies only, never your Amazon password.
